Who is who
A band
Owns the gigs, the fees and its own mileage rate.
A member
Plays in the band and can check every split.
A dep
Covers one gig, sees that gig and nothing else.
A manager
Books the band from outside it and takes a cut.
A self-managed band
A member does the admin. No cut, the fee is all the band’s.

Each player is paid £300 plus their own travel, so whoever drove furthest gets the most back.
No manager? Step two is skipped and the whole £2,000 is the gig total. A manager’s cut is never shown to the band.

How a dep gets paid
